Castel Gandolfo
Castel Gandolfo occupies a height overlooking Lake Albano about 30 km (18mi.) south-east of Rome. It is best known as the summer residence of the Pope. There are some very nice restaurants with the great view of Lake Albano.
Frascati
Frascati is particularly renowned for its white wine, the Frascati, also famous for its notable villas of the Papal Nobility, built from the 16th century by the Popes, cardinals and Roman nobles. The most famous one is Villa Aldobrandini known as Belvedere for its charming location overlooking the whole valley up to Rome. It is possible to visit its beautiful garden.
